Origin of Bowling
One of the most popular sports in the world today, Bowling is believed to have originated from Egypt. Bowling games, which involved rolling balls at targets, were also in vogue in Europe during the Middle Ages. A game called ninepins was later introduced to America. It was later outlawed as much gambling was involved. Popular belief has it that the tenpin game was created during this time to get around the anti-gambling laws against ninepin games.
