Changes to Jackpot Room Regulations in Compliance with the Police Licensing Department (PLD) for Fruit Machine Operations

With effect from 1 November 2017, the new Fruit Machine Permit and regulations require that the following be observed:

  • The Jackpot Room is only opened to members aged 21 and above, strictly no guests are allowed
  • Entry to the Jackpot Room will be restricted to members who hold membership terms of at least one (1) year
  • Written consent must be given by members who enter the Jackpot Room, for the Club to verify their exclusion status with the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), and for NCPG to release such information to the Club at the point of entry to the Jackpot Room
    – A person who has an active self-exclusion from the fruit machine room, or who is a subject of NCPG Relevant Exclusion*, or who does not consent to such verification, or with a shall not be allowed to enter, remain or take part in any gaming in the Jackpot Room
  • Members must present their membership cards and NRICs upon entry and must register their particulars and time of arrival and departure from the Jackpot Room

* NCPG Relevant Exclusions refer to: (i) a Family Exclusion Order made under section 162 or 165C of the Casino Control Act (CCA); (ii) an Exclusion from the casinos by law under section 165A(1)(a) and (b) of the CCA for undischarged bankrupts, recipients of Government financial aid, recipients of legal aid, and HDB rental tenants who have six or more months of arrears; and (iii) an Exclusion Order made under section 165 or 165C of the CCA.
